个人简介与研究方向

主持和完成了数个澳大利亚国家研究委员会 (ARC)，澳大利亚联合汽车研究中心 (AutoCRC), 维多利亚州政府, 联邦政府和工业界资助的研究项目，研究经费近150万美元，这些项目涉及电动汽车蓄电池容量、健康状态、最大充放电功率的估算、故障珍断、充电策略、蓄电池的筛选和平衡、蓄电池的安全、蓄电池能量和热管理系统、电动汽车的控制以及可再生能源系统中的蓄电池储能。在国内国际著名学术期刊上发表了论文110余篇，专著一本，为三本书撰写了一个章节。Google学术引用4194余次、H指数35。现为IEEE高级会员，是IET Power Electronics的副编辑，Journal of Energy Storage和 Vehicle 的编委，也曾担任多个国际学术期刊: Applied Energy、Energy，Journal of Cleaner Production 等的客座编辑，参与和组织多个国际会议，担任2018年11月21日至25日在澳大利亚墨尔本举行的International Conference on Energy, Ecology and Environment (ICEEE2018) 大会主席。

Dr. Weixiang Shen is a Professor at School of Software and Electrical Engineering, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. Professor Shen’s research interests are (1) battery applied research and control strategy for electric vehicles (EVs), including battery capacity estimation, state of health, state of power, fault diagnosis, charging strategy, battery sorting and balancing, battery safety under impact, battery energy and thermal management as well as EV control, (2) integration of EVs and renewable energy systems (e.g. solar photovoltaic systems and wind systems) into conventional power systems, including the smart use of EV batteries as an energy storage system in power systems (e.g. smart grid) and the analysis and improvement of system stability for power systems integrated with renewable energy systems. He is a principal investigator or co-investigator for many projects funded by Australian Research Council, Australian Cooperation Automotive Research Centre, Victorian government, Federal government and industries with the total grant of USA$1,500,000. In these areas, he has published more than 110 journal papers, one monograph "Advanced battery management technologies for electric vehicles" and a few book chapters.

Professor Shen is an Associate Editor of IET Power Electronics, Editor Board Member of Journal of Energy Storage and founding Board Member of journal Vehicles. He guest-edited several special issues for Applied Energy, Energy and Journal of Cleaner Production, etc. He has also served as a conference organizing committee member, session chair and track chair for a few international conferences, such as The IEEE International Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA). He was a general chair of the International Conference on Energy, Ecology and Environment (ICEEE2018) held in Melbourne, Australia, 2018.
